A ten-day old Syrian baby was brought to Israel for emergency heart surgery.
Yes, a Syrian child brought to Israel for medical help.
The Syrian family is now living in Cyrpus as refugees.
Medical teams in Cyprus, after consultation with medical center professionals at Sheba Medical Center Tel Hashomer, decided that the only way to save the child was to bring him to Israel for emergency surgery.
The Israeli ambassador to Cyprus cleared a quick path to get the child onto a special medical evac plane and to the hospital – a patient in need of care.
